I'm in a glass case of emotion

Life's a roller coaster.  It has its ups and it has its downs.  Things change, as a matter a fact, everything changes.  Every single thing that we know right now in this world will have changed in a mere 100 years.  100 YEARS... that's nothing!  In my life, that is a long time, but in the history of the world, that is such a short period of time.  It's all about relativity and how you perceive things.  No matter how you perceive things, there is only ONE thing that is going to remain constant and that is God.  He will always be there, whether you acknowledge him, or not.  He will always love you no matter what.  That is a little hard for me to fathom sometimes... no matter what I do, He is going to forgive me and love me.  What did I do to deserve that?  That's the beauty of Grace and Forgiveness.

In other news...

My life's been pretty busy lately.  School is thoroughly kicking my butt.  It's giving me quite a beating that's for sure!  I think I'm supposed to be doing something important... OH YEAH!  Planning a wedding... that's right!  We already have a place and a date set.  10-10-10 at the Hazelhurst house in Mcdonough.  I can't wait to marry this girl!  She really is incredible.  I can't get enough of her, and I guess that's a good thing because forever is a long time!

Friend of the day:

Evan Boggs

Where do I start man?  We've been through it all, from first cars to first loves.  That Camry had some BASS for a stock system man!  And who can forget the Accord with the Enkei's!  Anytime I've ever needed anything you've always been there man.  Whether it's a late night trip to McDonald's or some good ole fashioned HALO.  Two for Tuesday Pizzas was incredible as well.  NHB switch one handed jump 21... the longest name for a basketball game ever!  I can honestly say that 90% of the fun I had in high school, you were there.  We sure had a TON of good time and I wouldn't trade anything for the memories.  Thanks for being such a great friend man, I look forward to many years of more fun to come!!!

I'm what? Engaged?!

Yep, it's true, I am indeed engaged.  It's really pretty crazy to think about, I know, but this girl was so awesome, that I just couldn't let her go.  I had to put a ring on that finger before someone else did!  I did so with an elaborate plan at the Biltmore Estate that went perfectly.  Everything went absolutely great!

I've had a blast working with my dad again for the summer here at the airport.  It has helped me save up for school again and I've learned a TON about the airfreight business.  I look forward to working full time at it when I return from school next summer.

This upcoming school year is going to thoroughly kick my butt I do believe.  With 4 accounting classes and 1 finance class, I should have a full load on my plate, but I know with God's help I'll get through it for sure.  I'm also doing leadership team at the Wesley this year, something I'm really looking forward to!  I can't wait to get more involved with the Wesley Foundation and make an impact on campus.  Between all my classes, the leadership team, and trying to enjoy my last year at college as much as possible, I know I'll be busy for sure.  Not to mention attempting to plan a wedding at the same time.  I tend to do my best when under pressure, so hopefully, this will be one of my best semesters ever!

Friend of the Day:

Natali Martinez

Natali, wow what a ride it has been so far!  Going on 5 years of knowing you and each year has somehow gotten better and better.  We sure did have a lot of fun freshman year, and you introduced me to so many friends that I still love to this day.  You have always been there for me whenever I needed ANYTHING and I can't tell you how much I appreciate that.  It's nice to know if I need to talk to someone, you are there for me at any time.  That kind of friendship is so amazing and rare these days and I just wanted to let you know that I don't take that it for granite.  Your optimism and advice never cease to brighten my day.  Don't ever stop being yourself.  You're unique and that's what makes you who you are.  You passion and love for Christ inspires me to be a better Christian.  So, I say "thank you" to you for being such an incredible friend Natali Martinez.

weekend's over... back to work!

Well, it's been a little while since I last posted.  I had a great weekend!  Friday night drags with Ryan Buck and then went over to Amanda's house for a party after that.  Finally got home around 7am!  Leia got here around 12ish the next day (Saturday) and we hung out all day.  It was GREAT seeing her, as I haven't in a week.  Then we met Z man, his friend Brooke, Leslie, Ashley, Nina, Beans, Owen, Jenn, Riley, and Laura at Stone Mountain for the laser show.  It was amazing!  Then today Leia and I saw the new Transformers, it was ok... just not as good as the first one.  It was just good to spend some time with her!  I played baseball tonight with the guys.  Leia came and watched.  That was my weekend in a nut shell.  I'm tired, so nothing too exciting or any juicy details.  haha!

Monday Monday Monday

Today was actually a REALLY good Monday!  We were really busy at work today which always makes the day  FLY by, so that's nice.  And when we are busy, it means we are making money, so that is always a GREAT thing too!  I cut out quite a few shipments by myself as well, so that made me feel really productive throughout the day.

Leia made it back okay from Panama City Beach as well, so that's good!  My dad and I decided that we should all go down to PCB together in mid July as well, so that'll be a blast, after all, who doesn't like PCB?!

My mom and I leave for Seattle this Saturday, so please pray for a safe trip for us.

Well, since I'm trying to give credit to a good friend each day that has impacted my life, today I am going to have to give credit to a friend that I've known since 7th grade.

Today: Ryan Buck

RB you have been a terrific friend over the past 9 years man.  We have grown apart, and back together again and I have enjoyed this summer thoroughly!  I know we are going to be friends for life and have those 5.0's one day man.  It's been a great ride so far, and it's not even HALF over yet!  Thanks for always listening and having such awesome discussions.  I can honestly say that you are the only person that I have talked about quantum physics, 4th+ dimensions, Aliens, government conspiracies, and religion with all in the same conversation man!  Thanks for being such a great friend man!

What would I do without friends

I have some really, simply, amazing friends.  I really, truly do.  Good friends are hard to come by, but once you find them they are there for life, that's for sure and that's a good thing because I just don't know what I would do without them.

That is so true for my wonderful and amazing girlfriend as well.  I'd be lost without her and I honestly cannot say where I would be today without her optimistic guidance and beauty that just pours into my life.

So to each and every one of you that are so understanding, caring, loving, dependable, and just plain nice to me...  Thanks.  A big thank you from me... to you.   Everytime that I make a new post, I am going to try to remember to thank someone different at the end of each post.  They will not be in any particular order, just who is ever on my mind for that day.  Just my way of saying thanks for being such great friends.

Today:  Amanda Niesen

Amanda, thanks for offering so much help to my mom with her being laid off.   You are doing everything in your power to help her get hired, and I really appreciate that. You are doing a lot to help, and it means so much.  Your kindness extends further than you know and just knowing that I have a good friend like you makes life a little less stressful and worrisome.  Thanks for all you do, YOU are a great friend!
